1.0MG elevated storage tank, 12" water line and booster station improvements, Tallasee Alabama:
This 1.0 million gallon elevated storage tank in Tallassee, Alabama was constructed in 2001. The 12" water line is an extension of an existing 12" line and is over 5,000' long. The booster station provides the additional head required to support the northwest corner of the City of Tallassee, Alabama. The project increased the fire flow rate and storage capabilities for a portion of town growing towards Millbrook and Lake Martin. AME provided the conceptual presentation, design and construction management for the project.


 

Filter renovations, Roanoke, Alabama:
The water treatment facility in Roanoke, Alabama was constructed in the early 1990's and the filters were in need of renovation. In 2001, AME designed and managed the construction of this filter renovation. The original clay tiles were removed and the Leopold Filter Underdrain system was installed and new media brought in. The downtime for each filter was minimized through careful planning and management. The end result is a more efficient and reliable water treatment system.

 

 

Elevated water storage tank repainting, Roanoke, Alabama:
The original elevated water storage tank was constructed in the 1960's and is located near the downtown area of Roanoke, Alabama. This created a unique situation that required careful management and coordination with local residents. The resulting project speaks for itself.

 

 

Water Filter Plant Clearwell, Roanoke, Alabama:
The Roanoke, Alabama Water Filter Plant clearwell has been in service for 30+ continuous years.  AME carefully scheduled the draining and inspection of the structure with the seasonal and daily demands and the local operators.  Our professional services revealed deteriorating caulk, leaking joints and minor structural concerns.  AME continues to be involved in the operation, maintenance and repairs to the Roanoke facility.
